what did jamie siminoff invent?

jamie siminoff is well-known as the inventor and founder of Ring, the home security company. After originally creating Doorbot—an internet-enabled doorbell with a camera--Siminoff's product was brought to wider audiences in an appearance on Shark Tank in 2013.

A serial entrepreneur, Siminoff has been inventing products since his teens. Starting at just 19 years old, he created software called Headlight that allowed professional service providers to list their services online and get more customers via reviews. He would continue creating and selling different products for the next two decades. His big break came when he publicly unveiled Doorbot in 2013 on Shark Tank.

Since then, Siminoff has continued to work hard on Ring, which expands beyond the idea of Doorbot by offering motion detectors, security cameras and other accessories that allow customers to monitor their homes from one device. It's safe to say that Ring has become one of the most successful home security products on the market today.

In recent years, Siminoff has become an invaluable part of Amazon's portfolio after they acquired his company in 2017 for over $1 billion dollars. Amazon continues to use his ideas and technology as they build out their own suite of smart home products including Echo speakers and Fire TV devices. With Amazon's backing, Ring continues its expansion across various US cities with its specialized 'Ring Neighborhood' service that helps strengthen local crime prevention efforts .
